Handmade museum quality recreations of important historic artifacts from our Founder's collection. Fully functioning, historically accurate pieces of American History for your home.

Hartford Armory believes the most eloquent expression of America's character can be found in certain milestone products of our ingenuity and industry. The first distinctively American product, one

that was not merely an echo of European products, was the Pennsylvania long rifle. This is where Art first met industry in our country and the result was and is an American icon. What had begun its life as a survival tool evolved into an artistic expression of the highest order. Since then, the image of these protectors of the American hearth and home has been burned into our consciousness by literature, film and history texts. Hartford Armory recognizes and honors the importance and enduring beauty of the Pennsylvania long rifle by painstakingly and individually recreating them, by hand, in our Pennsylvania workshops. We have selected only the finest examples of these elegant artifacts from the "Golden Age" of Pennsylvania long rifles to resurrect. You choose from Lancaster, York or Berks County types and then try to be patient. It takes months to build each one, but the wait is worth it. Hartford Armory Pennsylvania long rifles command attention in any fine home.

When you visit the many historic sites in American, you may find yourself drawn to the artillery pieces so often on display. We at Hartford Armory fully understand this, to the extent that we have always wanted a Civil War artillery piece ourselves. That's how we came up with the idea of the "office cannon". Perhaps you'd agree that having a full size Civil War cannon might be impractical, hence we are making, by hand and one at a time, one-quarter scale museum

quality replicas of the originals. All parts and accoutrements are hand forged and likely will last centuries. These are real cannons, after all, just a bit smaller than the ones at Gettysburg. If you like, your "office cannon" can be fired, but please take it outside before you do. The bore is one inch and will take a very significant charge of black powder. The sound carries for miles.
